Syrian singer Asala Nasri has called for urgent Egyptian citizenship after leaving an evening in Cairo.
"As a result," said Asala of MBC Trending, "I need Egyptian nationality, give it to me, save me and my life."
This happened at a ceremony organized by Asala in Cairo and was given to benefit children with special needs.
Asala is married to US-Palestinian director Tariq al-Arian, her second marriage to Syrian businessman Ayman al-Dhahabi.
