Eat meat and sausages twice a week
Some foods aggravate the importance of healthy eating for rheumatism patients, while others help relieve them, said German magazine Senorin Rattiger.
According to the Journal of Elderly Health, for example, animal fats should be avoided because they aggravate the problem, and meat and sausages should not be consumed more than twice a week. Similarly, the eggs should be reduced.
Otherwise, oily fish are useful for omega-3 fatty acids, which have anti-inflammatory effects. Patients must eat salmon, mackerel and herring two to three times a week.
Whole grain cereals are fed with important minerals, while calcium intake from the body can be covered with vegetables such as broccoli and leeks.
For dairy products, rheumatoid patients must choose foods low in fat.
