When Google officially unveiled Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3 XL, the company also unveiled an augmented reality feature for Google Maps called Live View. It's a feature that shows you the trends of mobility in the real world while walking on the street. This feature is no longer exclusive to Google Pixel phones.
All Android devices that support ARCore and ARKit compatible iPhones can now take advantage of this feature. Once you have selected the destination you want to go to, you can select a route, then click the Live View option at the bottom of the screen.
You can then look at the streets using the camera of your phone and get visual cues in real time, as indicated by the name of the feature. It's a very elegant feature, so if you have the opportunity, try it.
