As of June 1, 2021, storage policies for free Google account holders are expected to change, Google recently confirmed that it will not offer unlimited free storage to Google Photos users even for high quality photos.

Each Google Account comes with 15GB of free cloud storage which is evenly split between Gmail data, Google Drive data, and Android smartphone backup data.

As part of the 15 GB storage space, it is currently free and unlimited so that it can be downloaded in high quality.
Please note that photos and videos uploaded before June 1, 2021 in high quality will not be part of the 15 GB free storage space.
To get more storage space, Google wants its users to buy additional cloud storage and it is now part of the Google One subscription plan which changed the name of paid disk storage in 2018, but Google One is more. than just additional storage.
