Dakahlia Governor Kamal Sharoubim announced the launch of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's initiative for hearing-impaired children born on 1 September.
The Governor of Dakahlia emphasized that the President's initiative was inscribed in the concern of improving the level of health services provided by the state to the citizens, which was represented in many different initiatives covering all aspects of health care for citizens of all ages, including the initiative of detection of viruses and noncommunicable diseases.
The governor of Dakahlia added that he believed in the need to build from the ground up and considering the president's interest in children, young people and the Egyptian citizen. An initiative has been launched for the early detection of hearing loss in newborns, which will begin on September 1st.
The governor of Dakahlia insisted on the need to meet all the needs of children who are proven that they needed surgery or receive free treatment and periodic follow up of treated cases up to 39 at the age of two years to determine the extent of their response to treatment and to carry out the follow-up and maintenance required for the cochlea in planted cases.
For his part, Dr. Saad Mekki, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Health, equipped 140 health units in all governorate towns, centers and villages and provided them with all the necessary capabilities, including hearing aids to measure births. determine their need for cochlear treatment or cochlear implant at the appropriate age. Medical staff made up of doctors and nurses must develop the level of staff needed to deliver the services.
