The Sheikh of the Al-Azhar Mosque called on Muslims in the Middle East to "embrace" the Christian communities in their countries. "They have continued to embrace your fellow Christians around the world and are our partners at home."
"You are part of this nation and you are a citizen and not a minority," Tayeb told Christians in the Arab world. "I hope you get rid of the culture of the term minority.You are full citizens of rights and duties and you know that our unity is the only stone that crushes the plots that do not do it. difference between a Christian and a Muslim if his grandfather, grandfather and harvested fruit ".
He also called on Western Muslims to integrate in their host countries and to respect local laws. He added: "If the laws require you to violate your sharia, they use legal methods, they are able to restore your rights and protect your freedom."
He called on the youth of the world in the East and the West to arm themselves with ethics and science, to work on the principles of the document and to make them the constitution of their life, to ensure "a future free from conflict and suffering".
Al-Azhar Sheikh emphasized his commitment to work with His Holiness Pope Francis and all religious symbols to protect and stabilize societies.
