Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has apologized to his player, Riadh Mehrez, for his lack of participation in recent weeks, noting that the Algerian wing is not to blame .
Mehrez, who moved to Leicester City after breaking a record of £ 60 million at the start of the season, has missed the starting lineup since winning in Southampton on Dec. 30.
Guardiola impressed the sector with the greatest opportunity, but the brilliant talent of Rahim Stirling, Leroy Sani and Bernardo Silva prevented the Algerian player from playing regularly.
Guardiola told reporters, "I am the reason why he is not involved and guilt is not at all his fault.I am sad because he is fine."
"We have some excellent players like Bernardo and Stirling in the lead, and that's the only reason he's missing," he said, "There's no specific reason for that." Irritation or something like that. "
Mehrez is expected to face Newport County in the fifth round of the FA Cup when he hopes for an increase after scoring nine goals in all competitions this season.
