Researcher Aaron Bouchman, co-author of the study, said the movement plays an important role in maintaining memory and thinking skills when dementia symptoms appear in the brain. According to Bushman, the benefits of movement and exercise are not just about avoiding obesity and organic diseases, but also about memory capabilities, something that has never been noticed. But a researcher at the Rush University Medical Center in Chicago is asking for more studies on the subject, as it is also likely that some people will stop exercising because of their dementia and mental decline.
