The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has demanded that Israel be held responsible after the UN investigation into Gaza.
Hamas on Thursday called on the international community to "hold Israel accountable" for "war crimes" after the release of a UN report on Israel's response to protests and violence in the Gaza Strip.
"We call on the international community to hold the Israeli occupiers accountable for the war crimes they continue to commit against the Palestinians," said Bassem Naim, a senior movement official.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the report of the UN Human Rights Council, accusing Israel of using excessive force in the Gaza Strip, to lie and hate Israel, and detailed Israel's rejection of the report released Thursday morning in Geneva.
"Israel rejects in its entirety the decision of the United Nations Human Rights Council," Netanyahu said in a statement issued by his office.
