His Highness also approved the priority given to the allocation of land and housing to first degree family members in the same area, in order to ensure the preservation of the “extended family” system, which is the backbone. backbone of societal cohesion, in accordance with the United Arab Emirates’ desire to build a united society.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, stressed that the Citizens Housing Program in Dubai, with its historic budget of 65 billion dirhams, is the largest initiative of its kind to develop housing for citizens and consolidate the social protection system in an integrated and comprehensive framework. His Highness explained that “the huge housing program will help create an ideal environment for work and life in Dubai, improve the quality of life for citizens, strengthen family stability, and strengthen social cohesion.”

His Highness added: “The allocation of land and housing for family reunions of first-degree relatives is intended to support the concept of family quarters in the urban city … cohesion”, explaining that “to provide a platform exchange of land and housing would allow citizens to participate actively in choosing the one that best meets their needs and aspirations ”.

His Highness said, “The Citizen Housing Program embodies the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to build an integrated system of life that has all the elements of social, economic and human stability, and to promote a sustainable growth, to make Dubai the best city in the world to work and live ”, noting that: Providing decent housing to citizens, within different segments of society, is a major step in building a healthy society and productive capable of working, giving and creativity in a system that meets all the conditions of security and social protection.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum had approved a historic housing budget of 65 billion dirhams for the next twenty years for the citizens of the Emirate of Dubai, as part of the Government’s Citizen Housing Program, which part of the initiatives of the “Dubai Urban Plan 2040”, which is part of the unremitting efforts to complete the Emirate’s development and urban model in support of sustainable development goals, meet future challenges, improve the quality of life, achieve family stability, consolidate social security and provide a living for citizens.

The Citizen Housing Program includes the provision of 4000 plots of land for citizen housing and increasing the area of ​​citizen housing areas to one billion seven hundred million square feet. where the value of housing loans will be increased to one million dirhams for eligible categories according to specific conditions and criteria, and the number of beneficiaries of the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment will be doubled, in addition to finding various alternatives for housing, and to develop the living quarters of citizens by offering the requirements for quality of life, including green spaces, shopping centers and recreational facilities.
