Health Minister gives Saudis good news that Kingdom received Corona vaccine

Today, Friday, Minister of Health Tawfiq Al-Rabiah confirmed that the Kingdom will be one of the first countries to receive the “emerging corona” vaccine as quickly as possible.

This came during a speech by the Minister of Health within the framework of the program of the “G20 Leaders Summit”, which continues its work in the capital, Riyadh, and addresses a number of titles and topics related to the work of the summit. .

The Minister of Health asserted that “the Presidency of the G20 Kingdom has made efforts to limit the impact of Corona globally, as it has provided $ 500 million to provide international aid in an efficient, cooperative manner. with international organizations in order to provide services to all ”.

The minister highlighted the efforts of the government of the Kingdom to improve the readiness of the health sector in his country to cope (Covid-19), by taking numerous measures, in particular by doubling the number of intensive care beds , training staff, encouraging volunteer health programs and regional distribution, as well as increasing the number of hospital beds by 50%. And the establishment of mobile clinics with dedicated lanes for cars, the establishment of field hospitals, as well as the provision of drugs and medical supplies in sufficient quantity for 12 months, in addition to launching a number of ‘applications.

Minister Al-Rabiah noted the order of the guardian of the two holy mosques to provide free treatment to all citizens and residents and violators of the residence system in all public and private health facilities in all matters related to treatment. of the Corona virus, for the sake of the health of all, because it has placed the health of the citizen and the resident a top priority to ensure the safety of all.

Minister Al-Rabiah asserted that the Kingdom will be one of the first countries to receive the vaccine as soon as possible, and top production companies and the “Kovacs” facility, appreciating the efforts of all who worked to combat the Corona pandemic.

Today, Friday, a round table entitled “The Group of Twenty for the protection of human beings and the improvement of the quality of life” took place.

The session was attended by the Minister of Health, Dr Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, the Deputy Minister of Finance for International Affairs and Policy Abdulaziz Al-Rasheed, the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom in Geneva, Dr Abdulaziz Al -Wasil, as well as the Director-General of the International Labor Organization, Guy Ryder, and the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Dr Tedros Adenhum.
