Sometimes people, especially children, are exposed to nose bleeds or nasal bleeds.
In this context, the Ministry of Health has released a video of awareness of the appropriate treatment of nosebleeds, cautioning to make the usual mistake of making head back to claim the return of blood, resulting in serious consequences.
– Be calm and do not be afraid.
– Sit upright, head slightly forward, as blood does not enter the throat.
– Gently press the lower part of the nose with the index finger and thumb for 5 to 10 minutes continuously.
– If bleeding persists, you can continue to press on the nose for an additional period.
– Avoid physical stress for 12 hours after nosebleed.
If bleeding persists for 30 minutes or if you feel dizzy, call the Ministry of Health at 937.
