“We play, sing, always try new things and have adventures,” Basma told AFP on a promotional tour of Dubai.

The program is part of a larger joint humanitarian project between “Sesame Workshop” and the International Rescue Committee “to provide early education and care to children and caregivers of conflict-affected people in Syria.” , according to a statement released by the organizers.

The episode will run for 26 minutes divided into two parts, one of which is a variety show that welcomes celebrities from the Arab world and children of all Arab nationalities.
Officials for the show, which was produced in Jordan, confirm that the episodes that will air six days a week will focus on feelings and how to cope.
The program is the result of two years of working with specialists in children in the Arab world.
The show’s executive producer, Khaled Haddad, told France Press that “Ahlan Simsim’s content, in its first part, deals with the issue of feelings,” stressing that the program will be both entertaining and educational.
According to Haddad, “Unfortunately, our children cannot express their feelings. They do not know what the feeling is. The child does not know that he is afraid, that he is angry or even that he feels jealous. . In our circles, we present these feelings and a strategy to deal with them. “
In one of the episodes, Basma learns with Jad from the character “Hadi”, who is like their older brother in the program, how to deal with fear.

Gad recently arrived in the neighborhood after leaving his home. But Haddad insists not to define him as a “refugee”.
Haddad says: “We did not grant Jad refugee status. He is a new child who has come to the neighborhood and all the children are getting to know him and become friends.”
Haddad insists that the program be dedicated to all children in the Arab world.
