The National Cyber Security Guidance Center, affiliated with the National Cyber Security Authority, has issued a high security warning regarding a security update in the WhatsApp app.
The center explained that WhatsApp has released an update to address a number of shortcomings in the following products:

• WhatsApp Business for iOS before v2.20.111
The center revealed that the threats are the ability for the attacker to exploit the vulnerabilities and perform the following operations: malware, memory malfunctions, improper authorization for the screen lock function, allowing Siri to ” interact with the WhatsApp application even after locking the device.
Regarding preventive measures, the center recommended updating the affected versions, as WhatsApp has posted an explanation of these updates through the following link: https://www.whatsapp.com/security/advisories/ 2020, indicating that the update method is as follows: Go to the App Store Store, search for WhatsApp, then tap “Update.”
