HMD Global Oy now provides environmental information on its devices

Over the past decade, Nokia has been renowned for making its products as environmentally friendly as possible and HMD Global Oy continues to follow this tradition. If you want to know more about the content of your Nokia phone or the percentage of recyclable materials used in the box, the Finnish company provides coverage.

In the Modern Environment section of each Nokia phone on the company's official website, you can get comprehensive information about the materials used in these phones and their recyclability. This includes almost all phones from the Finnish company, the Nokia 3310 to modern smartphones such as the Nokia 5.1.

We found that all the listed appliances did not contain PVC or other harmful substances such as nickel and bromine. HMD Global Oy also reports that 60% of its phones are made from recycled materials. Unsurprisingly, not all phones seem to work well in terms of energy consumption. Of course, we hope more manufacturers will follow in the footsteps of HMD Global Oy and focus on environmental transparency.
