The Arab Affairs Committee confirmed to the Council of Representatives that the Palestinian issue would remain in the forefront of the Arab scene in the last few years and that it was the backbone of the Arab nation, despite all the difficulties and obstacles who have faced it in recent years as a result of the revolutions of the Arab Spring and the spread of terrorism in the Arab world. This influenced the unity of the Palestinian class and the investment of all Israeli practices.
In a statement delivered today, the Committee referred to Egypt's efforts over the past period and the current period under the leadership of President Sisi, who spared no effort. and has left no chance of injecting blood and wounds into the arteries of this case on various international, regional and Palestinian tracks.
The Committee emphasized its strong position on the need to establish an independent Palestinian State at the border before 4 June 1967 with East Jerusalem on the basis of a two-State solution, in accordance with resolutions and related resolutions of the Security Council and the General Assembly, as well as the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative.
The commission welcomed the role played by Egypt under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and organs of the Egyptian state in seeking reconciliation and exit from the country. stalemate that has been raging for several years for the Palestinian cause.
As the President has pointed out more than once, the peace process between Egypt and Israel can serve as a model to end the Arab-Israeli conflict and declare an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem- Is for capital, on the basis of international legitimacy and Arab initiative.
The Committee appealed to all Arab countries to take financial measures that support the determination of the Palestinian resistance and the inhabitants of Jerusalem in particular.
The Committee stressed the need to maintain UNRWA and oppose efforts to liquidate it.
The Committee emphasized that it unequivocally rejected the transfer of the American Embassy to the occupied city of Jerusalem, stressing the repercussions of this position contrary to international legitimacy, which undermined the chances of peace and the creation of major crises in the region, commending the efforts of the Arab League and its role in countering the attempt to transfer some of its embassies to Jerusalem.
