Honidi honored at the El Gouna Film Festival

The El Gouna Film Festival has announced details of the third edition of the festival, to be held on September 19 and will run until the 27th of the same month.

Naguib Sawiris, founder of the festival, Samih Sawiris, founder of El Gouna, official sponsor of the festival and artist Bushra, as well as the other organizers of the festival, gave a press conference Monday afternoon.

In addition to the presence of the artist Dora and directors Yusri Nasrallah and Marwan Hamed and the chairman of the Commission on the Control of Works, Dr. Khalid Abdul Jalil.

In his speech, the engineer Naguib Sawiris asserted that the festival was born successfully since the first session, stressing that as a film buff, he attended all the festivals and listened to some comments about the El Gouna festival like it's been going on for many years.

Samih Sawiris spoke about El Gouna and the ideal size achieved since its launch 30 years ago, noting that they were currently working on a festival of music and singing, a proposal presented by the Minister of Culture, Mr. Inas Abdel Dayem.

Artist Bushra confirmed that he could not announce the definitive list of guests for the moment, especially since the negotiations were happening more than one hand, and most of the stars were related to the shooting dates works.

She pointed out that they were negotiating with Egyptian-born star Rami Malik since the first session, but he happens to be busy shooting movies. He is now busy shooting "James Bond" but they are trying to host him for a day.

While Egyptian star Mina Massoud confirmed her presence at the third session of the festival, two names were announced at this year's session.

The first is the artist Mohammed Huneidi, pioneer of the school of comedy for his generation of young people, and will receive a prize for his creative achievements, while the Palestinian director Mai Masri will receive the second honor at the festival.
