Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei has announced the launch of the world's most powerful processor, Ascend 910.
The launch of the new processor, as well as MindSpore's versatile IT infrastructure, marks a new step in Huawei's IA (Information Assurance and Risk Management) process, said CEO Eric Shaw.
Huawei pointed out that the performance of the Ascend 910 belonged to the Ascend Max series chipset and were part of the company's strategy to create a full range of scenarios for artificial intelligence. In addition, the new processor consumes much less power than expected.
"The Ascend 910 is working much better than expected," Shaw said. "It certainly has more computing power than any other AI processor in the world."
Huawei wants to continue to invest in AI processors to provide greater, affordable, and adaptable processing capacity to meet the needs of a wide range of scenarios, such as handling vehicles for auto- conduct and training.
The Chinese company "Huawei" has been placed on the "blacklist" of the United States of America because of US allegations that it would be engaged in activities contrary to national security.
