"I told you I would kill myself." What does suicide tell us before doing it?

Suicide is sad and depressing. This is a "permanent" act to solve a temporary problem, but what makes it even more miserable and depressing is that the kamikaze leaves a little piece of paper in which he writes: "I told you said that I would commit suicide … but you do not hear anything. "

This idea came to my mind when I read yesterday a story supposed to be comical, showing gravestones written with beautiful sentences, including a woman who had recommended him to write on his grave a recipe for candy at home. chocolate!

What caught my attention, and then my sadness, was a tombstone that read: "I said I was sick" Although the photo is supposed to be comic, when you think about it, she is sad, sad and miserable. It represents the person who has completely committed suicide, because in the end, suicide is the end result of a mental illness.

In our Arab and Islamic societies, it is not possible to write this on a tombstone, because of the different traditions of our funerals and funerals. But the suicidal person would surely come back to life by shouting, "I told you I would kill myself!"

disappointments
Passing with a disappointed person with a lot of disappointments makes them more likely to fall into the trap of depression, which adds to the misunderstanding of mental illness and does not go to the psychiatrist.

Indeed, our Arab world is witnessing a new wave of anti-psychiatric errors, according to which psychiatrists identify healthy people as mentally disordered patients to their advantage, not to mention pharmaceutical companies – who must be present in any conspiracy theory – who want to sell their mental drugs.

On the other hand, the other misconception, which is that the punishment of almighty God's psychological illness for immorality and immorality, although religion is innocent of these assumptions.

Because of the widespread misconceptions about conspiracy theory, the idea of receiving blame for sins, the person is lost, falling more and more into the disease, which can be depressive or bipolar disorder, or even even schizophrenia. Suicide can then become a question of time.

We must understand that mental illness has nothing to do with faith or infidelity: when you fall from the tenth floor, you hit the ground, you break the bones and you die, the mental illness is caused by changes in brain, disorders of certain chemicals and this has nothing to do with your faith.

Faith
While faith and a network of supportive friends provide psychosocial support to the person, this does not replace treatment. A food intake control can help treat type 1 diabetes – where insulin is not in the body – but not a substitute. For insulin injections, their exhaustion will die the patient.

In fact, the recourse to this "sin" approach, in which we tell the patient that his illness is caused by his sins, may be counterproductive: a person may rush to worship, but his psychological state does not improve not, which can lead to discontent and lead to atheism.

Almighty God is innocent of these banalities, which are the creation of medicine, and commands people to heal, and vice versa, Almighty God will hold man to not heal himself.

It must be understood that the person who thinks of suicide feels like an obscure tunnel and sees only one way to cross, which is to kill himself. In this case, it becomes difficult for the person to live and it becomes easier to die.

We need to talk directly to the person and ask why you want to kill yourself. We must help him to go to the psychiatrist.

Many people assume that if you ask a person if they have suicidal thoughts, you put the idea in their head and alert them. No, it's a mistake. A person who wants to commit suicide thinks about it and plans it. It's not related to someone asking about suicide.

Conversely, mental health professionals encourage people to ask important questions and gather facts to help a person. When a person thinks about suicide, his words and actions can give you evidence.

We must be aware that the person who intends to commit suicide must report warning signs, ranging from suspicion to the following statement: "I am going to commit suicide," and it is important that we know them and that we took them seriously.

These are the most important warning signs that the person in front of you thinks, plans or is about to commit suicide:

Emotional warning signs:

1 – feel depressed.

2 – the lack of interest in the activities he had practiced in the past.

3. Irritability.

4. anger.

5. Concern.

6. Feeling of shame or humiliation.

7. mood swings.

Verbal verbal warning signs, which are manifested in the person's words regarding:

1. Kill yourself "I'm going to kill myself"

2. His life has neither purpose nor meaning.

3. Life would be better for my family if I did not exist.

4. I am a burden to you.

5. I do not want to exist.

6. The expression may be indirect, such as "I wish to sleep and not to wake up".

Behavioral warning signs:

6. Increase aggressive behavior.

7. Increase the abuse of drugs and alcohol.

8. Look for information about suicide on the Internet.

9 – Prepare suicide, such as firearms or drugs.

10. Stop taking care of personal hygiene.

If you see any of these signs on the person with whom you are communicating, you can directly ask him: Do you plan to kill yourself?

If a person is planning to commit suicide, it is also important to ask if they have a plan. If he says yes, you should seek help immediately, by going to the emergency department or psychiatric clinic. Do not leave the person alone if she has a suicide plan.

The psychological illness is not a conspiracy of pharmaceutical companies nor a reprisal against God Almighty, who is merciful to his slaves.

This can help save the life of a loved one by overcoming despair and life, and you must tell him that suicide is the solution to no problem.

In the end, is there anything better than helping someone choose life?
