In a few hours, an asteroid "the size of Burj Khalifa" passes near the Earth

The asteroid taller than the tallest building in the world will pass near Earth on Saturday, the US space agency announced.

The diameter of the asteroid named 2000, QW7, is estimated between 290 and 650 meters, or between 951 and 2132 feet, according to NASA.

The tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, measures 2,717 feet.

The asteroid will move at 14,361 km / h when it will rise to 3,312.944 miles from Earth at 19:54 EST.

Astronomers do not believe that the asteroid represents a danger to the Earth, but NASA's NEO Center will follow suit.
