In Japan, 82% of patients with cancer and heart exercise are under treatment

A survey conducted Sunday by the Japanese Ministry of Health revealed that 82% of patients with cancer or heart patients were working during their hospitalization.

The results of the department's first large-scale survey indicate that many patients are unable to focus on treatment, while the government insists on the need to balance work and treatment, such as teleworking, urging some experts to create a better environment.

"I think the survey accurately reflects the truth.The patients may think that they have caused problems at their workplace and think that they should work even at the hospital, but they should not forget that treatment must be given priority, "said Naomi Sakurai, Director of the Cancer Survivor Rehabilitation Project.

The survey was conducted among people aged 20 to 64 years hospitalized in 25 major hospitals over the past five years. 91.1% of them had used a smart phone to do their work in public places, in hospitals or in their rooms.
