Hatem began his life in theatrical writing and writing of dramatic texts and short stories, and obtained a BA in theatrical arts from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts of Damascus in 1986, Department of Theater, and he is a member of the Syndicate of Artists in Syria, while Hatem Ali began his acting career with director Haitham Haqqi in The series “Circle of Fire”, in 1988, followed by his continued participation in dramas, and he embodies various personalities who vary between historical and nomadic roles and contemporary figures.

He went into television directing in the mid-90s, and presented a large number of television feature films and a number three and seven, and at a later stage he presented a large number of social series and historical, among the most important of the series “Zeer Salem”, which is considered as a turning point in his career, as well as the Andalusian Quartet. His series “Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi” has been dubbed in several languages ​​and has been shown in Malaysia, Turkey, Yemen, Somalia and other countries, as well as “Saqr Quraish” in 2002, “Spring of Cordoba “in 2003,” Kings of Taifa “in 2005 and” King Farouk “in 2007. And Omar in 2012.
