"A new chapter in bilateral relations, the Prime Minister breaks the protocol of welcoming the Saudi Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman upon his arrival," said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ravish Kumar, in a tweet on his Twitter account.
"India is pleased to welcome Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Crown Prince," he said.
In a number of Indian diplomats, they stressed that the dissolution of the protocol of the Indian Prime Minister demonstrated the importance of the visit and the guest.
