Since the return of El Nasr Automotive, from liquidation to life, the government has taken many steps to recreate the dream of making a 100% Egyptian car.
1 – The Ministry of Enterprises agreed with Nissan International to manufacture a car, but the project stopped and was replaced by the manufacture of an electric car.
2. A memorandum of understanding was signed between the National Authority for Military Production and China Geely Corporation for the production of electric passenger vehicles (owners and taxis).
3 – The Ministry of Military Production has an interest in locating the manufacture of electric vehicles of all kinds (buses, buses, cars) in its subsidiaries.
4 – The vice chairman of the board of "Geely" stressed the aspiration of the company to cooperate with the military production of the manufacture of the car.
5. The Minister of the Public Enterprise Sector, Liao Liqiang, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Cairo, has been given twice to manufacture electric cars.
6 – A Chinese company is seeking to establish the first electric car factory in Egypt on the territory of Al Nasr Automotive Company for export and local use.
7- The Minister of Public Enterprise Sector visited China to discuss cooperation opportunities with the Chinese side, especially in the field of electric vehicle production.
8. The Minister will meet with the Chinese Minister of Industry, meet with officials from a number of Chinese companies in the electric car sector and visit their factories.
