The introduction of the famous Instagram photo sharing app kicked off Monday with the addition of a new feature that allows users to share short voice messages with their friends in direct conversations with them, similar to the Walkie Talkie method.
If you have ever used voice messages in the Facebook Messenger application, the new Instagram feature will not be strange: to send an audio message, you just have to hold down the microphone button, to make sure it's all right. record and send a short voice message.
Although Instagram is a standard application of the idea, it has added something of its own. If you do not want to press the microphone, you can simply open the direct messages and place the phone next to your ear. The new feature works on both iOS and Android devices, according to the TechCrunch Tech website, which states that the voice message can last up to one minute.
