Since December 20, mutated strains of the Coronavirus have started to appear and spread, in particular the British strain, with dozens of infections recorded in around 20 countries in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, including 3 Arab countries.
As new strains and cases of infection with them are being monitored in several countries, the World Health Organization has confirmed that the British strain is not “out of control”, and that there is still no evidence that it hinders the work of Covid 19 vaccines.
It was also not clear whether the South African strain was more dangerous or more contagious than others. In the following interactive map, Masrawy is monitoring countries that have detected mutated strains of Corona or recorded infections with:
