Authorities investigated a citizen's charges regarding a medical error that resulted in the death of his son while his wife was incarcerated.
In a detailed statement, Mubarak Ayed al-Qahtani said he informed the medical team that his wife was born on the advice of the attending physician, who had confirmed that the size of the fetus was large and that the caesarean section was the best for the mother.
He stated that the operation lasted three hours and that the child had died after being killed, accusing doctors of violently occupying the fetus and having wrongly insisted on a normal childbirth.
The citizen confirmed that he had filed a formal complaint to investigate the incident and prevent doctors from traveling until the facts were discovered, revealing that another child had been lost in the same hospital seven years ago.
For his part, spokesman for Bisha's health, "Ali Al-Bakhitan", the forensic committee has begun investigating the incident and will have the guilty parties punished if they are proven.
