IPhone 11 supports Wi-Fi 6. Here's what you need to know about it.

Nowadays, this is the season of new iPhones, and despite the new features and power of performance thanks to the new Apple processor, none of the new models only support 5G networks – we hope that this will be available in 2020 – but that does not mean that there will be more. Improved connection speed, Apple announcing that the three new phones: iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max – support next-generation Wi-Fi connections 6.

The technical specifications of the phones released by Apple on its website indicate that all versions of (iPhone 11) iPhone 11 support 802.11ax, technical name of the sixth generation Wi-Fi 6 Wi-Fi.

What is Wi-Fi 6:

Wi-Fi 6 is the latest version of 802.11 for wireless networks, which we commonly call Wi-Fi. The current version used by most devices is the 802.11ac or Wi-Fi 5 standard. Charging the Wi-Fi 6 enjoy faster speeds and greater efficiency than previously used.

Will iPhone 11 provide a faster Internet connection:

Certainly, the iPhone 11 and other devices supporting Wi-Fi 6, such as: Samsung Galaxy S10, will enjoy all the features mentioned above, provided that they work with routers and Wi-Fi compatible access points 6. But you will not see any difference if you still use Wi-Fi routers 5. Of course, Wi-Fi routers 6 are now available in the market, but they are always as expensive as any new technology.

If your phone supports the new standard, you can use fast public networks while on the move. If your phone still supports Wi-Fi 5, do not worry, because Wi-Fi 6 is backward compatible with older Wi-Fi devices.
