Apple said iPhone users should be careful not to expose their phones to harmful vibrations from powerful motorcycles as they could damage the camera systems of those phones.
The company, a U.S. tech giant, has warned against attaching iPhone phones to powerful motorcycles, via a document posted in the tech support section of the company’s website and monitored by Macromers.
Vibration from these vehicles can also damage the optical image stabilization function or automatic image adjustment systems. Scooter users should use mounts that dampen vibrations.
Many iPhone users have reported, via social media, that their phones have been damaged after being strapped to a motorcycle.
Apple claims that many versions of the iPhone are vulnerable to damage from this act.

These systems, which can be damaged, are designed to improve image quality by resisting movement, vibration and the effects of gravity.
Apple’s technical support page states that large or large motorcycle engines emit strong and intense vibrations, which in turn can be transmitted through the tires and handlebars to the phone.
The page adds: “Direct exposure to strong vibrations of a certain frequency can reduce the performance of these phones and reduce the quality of photos and videos.”
The solution is to stop attaching iPhones to the motorcycle in the first place, a common behavior when driving such vehicles.
