The court ruled in the verdict of the libel case, which was filed against Bakri on Monday evening, that “it is forbidden to display and distribute the film Jenin Jenin in Israel”, according to which an order was issued to “confiscate all copies of the film in Israel”.

In the verdict, the judge said: “Bakri cannot escape the protective measures stipulated in the law on the prohibition of defamation, if it is found that there is no truth about the subjects that were published in the film, and there is no goodwill in their presentation, and no action has been taken, not even Reasonable steps to prove the alleged allegation made in this publication. ”

A libel suit against the film was previously dismissed by five soldiers, although the verdict indicated that the film contained “libel” because the five soldiers “do not appear in the film”.

For his part, the author of this lawsuit, who was filed in 2016, declared that “he appears in the film, and his reputation was tarnished by his appearance during his participation in the military operation in the camp. of Jenin in 2001 ”.
