Princess Rima bint Bandar bin Sultan, Saudi Ambassador to Washington, commented on the inauguration of US President Joe Biden.

Princess Reema bint Bandar said: “Congratulations to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, it was an honor for me to attend this historic inauguration.”

And Joe Biden was sworn in as President of the United States of America, saying, “This is America Day and Democracy Day. The voice of the American people has been heard and respected.”

He added: “We will work to restore the foundations of democracy and our unity, and much awaits us to work on in the years to come.”

Of the Corona pandemic, Biden said, “The virus has claimed the lives of many Americans and we have lost many jobs because of it. We will work to defeat it and reopen safe schools for our children.”

He stressed that overcoming difficulties and racism is not easy, saying, “But we can do it today.”
