The municipality of the governorate of Jeddah recently recovered a government land allocated for the construction of a garden in the district of Al-Salamah on an area of approximately 1,400 square meters, after a lawsuit filed by the municipality against a citizen who got hold of the land and built a house there, claiming he owned it under the guise of trust.
“Okaz” learned that the evidence of consolidation obtained by the infringer was dated 1403, while the decision to restore the site of the park came after the publication of court decisions which ruled to annul the instrument of the proof of strength that the citizen possessed because it had not been proven correct.
The trial ended with the publication of a court decision upholding the court of appeal requiring the defendant to raise his hand from the land and return it to the public property of the state, and the National Electricity Company and water was sent for the shutdown of site services.
The Jeddah Governorate Municipality affirmed its continued efforts to prevent encroachments on state public property and to enforce noble orders, regulations and instructions that prevent the use of public facilities other than those designated for it.
