A fire broke out last night in a third-floor apartment of a three-story building attached to the Al-Safa neighborhood in Jeddah, on the third floor, that civil defense teams have managed to extinguish without casualties.
Colonel Saeed Sarhan, spokesman for the civil defense in the Mecca region, said the rescue teams evacuated 12 people, including women, children and a man from inside the building.
Sarhan explained that the fire did not cause loss of life and that it was caused by an electrical short in a room of a third floor apartment of the building including 3 floors and an annex.
He pointed out that firefighters have reached the point of flame and have extinguished and ventilated the corridors of the apartment because of the rising fumes and have made sure that there are more people there. .
