The referees' commission of the Egyptian Football Federation, chaired by Samir Othman, has decided to arrest international referee Jihad Grisha for an indefinite period, after his mistakes during the meeting of the first football team of the Al-Ahly club against its pyramids, which were held between them last Saturday at the stadium of Borg El Arab. The 16th Egyptian Cup Cup, which ended with a 1-0 defeat by Red Genie, was qualified for the tournament. Al-Tahrir learned from internal sources at the committee that the suspension could be limited to the Egyptian Cup, as the tournament will end before the start of the league, scheduled for 18 September.
Al-Ahly had bid farewell to the trophy last season after the defeat of Al-Asiouti, currently the Pyramids in the quarter-finals of the Cup, which deprived him of the coronation for the second consecutive season.
The pyramids reached a historic milestone by defeating Al-Ahly 4 times in a row, which was never achieved by an Egyptian club.
