Jordan's first football team left Sunday's Asian Cup after losing 4-3 against Vietnam after a 1-1 draw at Al Maktoum stadium.
Bahaa Abdurrahman gave Jordan the lead after 39 minutes into the match, striking the ball from an indirect free kick just outside the penalty area. Nguyen Kong Vong equalized for Vietnam in the second half of the second period.
PT Dong scored the decisive penalty for Vietnam after substitutes Baha Faisal and Ahmed Samir Saleh missed their offer.
Vietnam will face the quarterfinals on Thursday in Dubai, winner of the match against Japan on Monday.
