The state of Jordan recorded the highest number of coronavirus deaths in the Arab world in the past 24 hours, after the Jordanian Ministry of Health announced the recording of 4,940 new infections, bringing the total number of confirmed cases at 174,335. Iraq has registered 2,543 new cases of “Corona”, bringing the total number of injured to 531,769.
In a press release, the Iraqi Ministry of Health reported that 49 new deaths had been recorded, bringing the total number of deaths to 11,883. While 2,904 new recoveries were recorded, bringing the total number of recoveries at 460,394.
Libya also rose again, after the Libyan National Center for Disease Control announced the registration of 802 new cases of the virus in the past 24 hours, in addition to 794 recoveries and 6 deaths from corona infection. With the announcement, the total number of HIV infections in Libya stands at 76,808 cases, including 28,153 active cases, and 47,587 recoveries, while 1,068 people have died from the epidemic that began in Libya in last march.
Sudan recorded 146 new infections, one death and 32 recoveries. And the Sudanese Ministry of Health said in a statement today that the total number of people infected with the virus in Sudan has risen to 15,299 cases, including 1,179 deaths and 9,670 cases of recovery.
