Jordan wins Asia Cup after losing to Vietnam on penalties

The Jordanians lost the Asian Cup in the final after losing to their Vietnamese counterpart 4-2 on penalties after the end of the initial game and an extension with a 1-1 draw.

The Jordanian team opened the scoring in the 39th minute by Bahaa Abdul Rahman Sulaiman and tied for Viet Nam Kong Phyong Nguyen in the 51st minute of the match.

The initial match was marked by a 1-1 draw, and both teams extended a further two hours to arrive at a new one.

With this victory, the Vietnamese team beat the first pass in the quarterfinals of the tournament and will meet the winner of the match expected Monday between Saudi Arabia and Japan.
