The director of the Iraqi Police Club has rejected inclusion of international striker Muhannad Ali by European clubs, including Juventus and Benfica Portugal, saying the offers to include the player "do not correspond to the club situation.
"The club management has turned a blind eye to the idea of giving up Muhannad Ali's services during the current period and will remain in the team until the end of the season. His professional future will then be studied, "says the club press release.
He added that the reason for the lack of acceptance of these offers because it does not suit the position of the club, which aspires to a professional experience at the highest level of the player, pointing out that there are some offers from Juventus, Benfica, Greek Athens, Belgian Galk, Turkish Galata Sarai and Al Ain UA.
Muhannad Ali, 18, started playing at the club of electricity that he had lent in 2016 to the police club, before he finally signed with him in 2017. The talented striker started to show him his exceptional abilities, especially during the recent period.
The player started representing the first Iraqi team since 2017 despite his young age and has so far played 16 games in the black jersey of Rafidain, scoring eight goals, including two at the Asian Championship, invited by the Iraqi team.
