Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa arrived in Sharm el-Sheikh on Saturday to attend the two-day Arab-European summit.

The King of Bahrain is leading his country's delegation to participate in the first such summit organized by the League of Arab States and the European Union, at the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi.

Upon arrival at Sharm el-Sheikh International Airport, King Hamad received Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli and Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa as well as senior Egyptian officials.

Upon his arrival, King Abdullah praised the regional and international role played by Egypt under the presidency of President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi in hosting the summit, which looks for ways to secure a future safer and more prosperous to the countries of the region.
