China defeated Kyrgyzstan 2-1 in a match played at Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in the first group stage of the Asian Nations Cup in the UAE.
Chinese goalkeeper Pavel Mattyash made a mistake and Yao Dayao scored in the 50th and 78th minutes while Kyrgyzstan's only goal was scored by Akhdin Asrylov in the 42nd minute.
China is in Group 3 with a 3-point lead and a 3-0 win at Al Maktoum Stadium.
The new edition of the AFC Asian Cup will feature 24 teams for the first time in history, divided into six teams of four teams each. Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai and Sharjah have eight stadiums in four cities and will last 28 days.
