Kuwait Broadcasting Union pays tribute to Kuwaiti radio for its achievements in 2018

KUWAIT: The Arab States Broadcasting Union paid tribute to Kuwaiti radio on Thursday in recognition of its great achievements in the field of program exchanges in 2018 at a ceremony held on June second day of the coordination meeting of Arab radio stations.

Mohammed Al-Mabaki and Saud Al-Harbi, representatives of Kuwaiti radio participating in the meeting, received the honorary award from the director of the Arab Center for Information Exchange, Mohsen Sulaimani, who praised the contribution of "Kuwaiti Radio in the field of exchange programs".

The representatives of Kuwaiti Radio expressed their pride and pride in this honor, which demonstrates the considerable efforts made by Kuwaiti Radio to represent the country in the most representative way and committed to its effective contribution to promoting the exchange of information and serving the Arab countries.

They also expressed their pride for the statistics included in the evaluation of radio stations, which revealed that "The Kuwaiti radio, which ranks first in the statistics of the exchange of information between all Arab countries in terms of classification programs or number of emissions and looks at a record 20 programs, accounting for 18% of the total number of programs traded, whether cultural or economic "

Algerian Minister of Communications, Gamal Kaouan, laid the groundwork for a center comprising the Arab States Broadcasting Union and the African Broadcasting Union, which, according to Kaouan, will place the country in charge. Algeria among the three cities in the world that host such a center.
