Kuwaiti Minister of Information: Al-Arabi magazine is a major cultural beacon in the Arab world

Kuwaiti Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi confirmed that Al-Arabi magazine has a clear imprint on the Arab world from its launch in 1958 to the present day.

Minister Al-Mutairi said in a press release today, Thursday, during his visit to the magazine’s headquarters, that Al-Arabi is a cultural beacon full of intellectuals, writers and writers who enrich our Arab society by all that is useful and constitutes a beautiful addition to Arab literature.

He explained that this cultural beacon today emphasizes the infrastructure and system used to enrich cultural issues that concern the Arab citizen, led by officials.

He added, “During this period, we are looking to further develop this old magazine through expanded sessions with writers and the Kuwaiti Writers Association to take their ideas and aspirations and reflect them on Al-Arabi magazine.

He highlighted the effort for the advancement of this magazine “for what distinguishes it in our Arab societies and reflects the cultural image of Kuwait in accordance with Kuwait’s 2035 vision to achieve a distinguished international position”.

For his part, the secretary general of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature, Kamel Al-Abd Al-Jalil, said in a press release that Minister Al-Mutairi’s visit had a great impact in offering valuable opinions and ideas and overcoming many obstacles to advance and develop this magazine.

Al-Abd Al-Jalil added that this magazine is considered the ambassador of Kuwaiti culture in the Arab world as it contains valuable cultural heritage and has its weight, stature and reputation through its cultural activity.
