According to Musk, the robot could be available on the market next year.
He explained that the new robot “will basically start doing boring, repetitive and dangerous jobs,” according to the newspaper.
Although Musk did not disclose the robot’s expected selling price, he stressed that it would have a “profound” impact on the economy by reducing labor costs.
“In the future, physical labor will be an option,” he added.
The newspaper quoted Musk that the “Optimus” robot will use the same chips and sensors that are used in the automated driving system of “Tesla” cars.
She added that the robot will have the capacity to carry a weight of at least 20 kilograms and lift 68 kilograms.
Musk also pointed out that “Optimus” has the ability to run at a speed of 5 miles per hour.
Musk confirmed, according to the newspaper, that the robot will be designed in a way that allows humans to easily escape, and even overcome it.
Musk said the robot will perform some of the tasks its owner asks it to do, such as attaching the latch to the car, or going to the market for groceries, ordering it, “Go to the store, please, and bring me the next races. “
And Musk is known for delivering innovations and ideas that some consider fantastic, but every time he proves that science can do a lot of amazing things.
In July 2020, Musk revealed a technology his company, Nera Link is working on, which is a chip implanted in the brain that may help treat several conditions, including drug addiction and depression.
And in August 2020, Musk unveiled a pig that had a chip implanted in its brain, signaling a first step towards achieving the goal of treating human disease with the same type of implant.
Nera Link, co-founded by Musk in 2016, aims to implant wireless connections between the brain and a computer, including thousands of electrodes in the most complex human organ, to help treat neurological conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and spinal cord injury.
The diameter of the slice is about 8 millimeters, and it is implanted after drilling a precise hole in the skull.
