Dr. Abdullah Al-Qarni, Director of the Communicable Disease Control Department at Jeddah Health, revealed that vaccinations started every year in October, noting that immunizations started this year at 5 Safar and lasted 4 months.
He added that the target groups are the most vulnerable groups, including the elderly, pregnant women and children, as well as women and men suffering from chronic diseases.
He emphasized that the idea of vaccination was to reduce the incidence of the virus as it was a preliminary procedure and a health awareness, stressing that the vaccine was safe and that there were no side effects except in case of egg allergy.
