1. We, the leaders of the Member States of the League of Arab States and the European Union, held our first summit on 24 and 25 February 2019 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, under the joint presidency of the Egyptian President Abdelfattah Sisi and the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, to discuss and resolve current and common problems. The two regions, which represent 12% of the world's population and are entering a new era of cooperation and coordination, are convinced that enhanced cooperation between the Member States of the League of Arab States and the European Union would promote stability and well-being of both regions and the world. We reaffirmed the importance of strengthening economic cooperation between the two parties and building a strong partnership based on investment and sustainable development, as well as on the development of sustainable development. a positive cooperative work program, particularly in the areas of trade and energy, including energy security, science, research, tourism, fisheries, agriculture and others areas of common interest. 6. We reaffirm that the political settlement of regional crises in accordance with international law, including international humanitarian law, is essential for the peace and prosperity that the peoples of the region demand and deserve.

We reaffirmed our common positions on the Middle East peace process, including the status of Jerusalem and the illegality of Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories, in accordance with international law, and reaffirmed our commitment to a solution for the creation of two States in accordance with all United Nations resolutions. 11. We welcomed the Stockholm agreement, particularly with regard to the cease-fire in Hodeida and Security Council resolutions 2216, 2451 and 2452, and recalled our concern at the seriousness of the situation. the humanitarian situation affecting millions of citizens, as well as ensuring the flow of humanitarian and commercial supplies to those in need, and called on all parties concerned to work constructively towards a lasting political settlement and global in the interest of the Yemeni people.

12. We discussed concerns regarding threats to international and regional peace and security, including terrorism, extremism and acts undermining stability, proliferation and trafficking in persons. illicit weapons and organized crime, all of which require concerted efforts in accordance with international law, including international human rights law. Peace and security, human rights and economic and social development are interrelated and mutually reinforcing. In particular, we agreed to strengthen cooperation and coordination to combat the movement of foreign terrorist fighters on our borders. These challenges require a comprehensive approach that includes the prevention of all forms of support for terrorists, including financial, political, logistical and military support.

We discussed the importance of maintaining the international non-proliferation regime in accordance with the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and the goal of liberating the Middle East from weapons of mass destruction and their means of delivery.

14. We also reaffirmed their determination to combat cultural and religious intolerance and extremism and to avoid negative stereotypes, stigma and discrimination leading to incitement to violence in the country.
