The Department of the Public Service has released details of the most significant changes to the Public Service Human Resources Executive Regulations with respect to vacations.

The department confirmed that the new regulation granted the employee five days instead of three days with full pay in the event of the death of his wife or a third-degree relative.

In addition to the employee's rights, a full-time leave of 70 days is distributed at most 28 days before the weighted date of the situation.

The employee was entitled to a full three-day holiday in case of birth of a child less than a week after the date of birth.

She pointed out that an employee absent from work due to a disaster prevents his arrival at his place of work. The competent minister may consider the employee's absence as a legitimate excuse entitling him to a salary. The days of absenteeism are not deducted from the balance of his leave.

She confirmed that holidays and statutory holidays, if they occurred during the employee's normal leave, are not counted in the normal vacation period.
