Elisa’s announcement came on her official Twitter page, in which she wrote in English: “I think I’ll quit WhatsApp and switch to another app.”

The “WhatsApp” app had announced a number of new terms, which included a summary of how information is shared with “Facebook” and how any information shared can be used.

The new privacy policy states that “as part of the Facebook family of companies, WhatsApp receives information from this group and shares that information with them.”

At the same time, WhatsApp allows all of its customers to agree to the new terms by February 8 to avoid disrupting their accounts.

“WhatsApp” is one of the most popular apps in the world with over two billion active users, but some users may lose their accounts unless they agree to share certain data with “Facebook”.
