Al-Marsad Journal: Lebanese singer Carlos has been widely criticized after addressing the economic reality of his country in one of his songs containing racist remarks.
According to the magazine “Laha”, the artist said in his song in Lebanese dialect spoken: “He heard, how did we say, how the weather has changed, for the Indian, may God help him on the pump on gasoline, we used to hit the Indian with the treadmill (shoes), we begged him to fill up with gasoline.
The line “we were hitting the Indian with the walker”, which is described as a racist line against the Indians of Lebanon, sparked a state of controversy, which exposed the singer to a deluge of criticism from some.
