The publication of the details of the judgment has caused mixed reactions among Saudis on social media, while some support the judge in his decision, others consider that the type of goods does not justify non-compliance with the rules and conditions of the business transactions.

Saudi lawyer Nayef Al Mansi says the judge represents the state and it was he who granted him judicial power. And his word will be enforceable in these matters.

Al Mansi added, according to what the newspaper quoted, that the Kingdom system does not contradict decisions agreed upon and accepted by academics, and that the judgment can be corrected by degrees of litigation such as appeal and court. supreme.

Commenting on the same case, Saudi preacher Sheikh Abdullah Al-Manea said that stealing is not allowed because the store sells something prohibited like smoke or honey, so the citizen or the resident is not a guardian, so if the guardian considers the matter to be against Sharia law, he confiscates the prohibited money while it is subject to his order only.

Al-Manea, who is a member of the Council of Senior Scholars, the Kingdom’s highest religious body, added that looting and theft, because what is sold is forbidden, creates chaos, and whoever wears it deserves a punishment at the discretion of the judge.
