The WhatsApp app will stop working on smartphones running operating systems prior to iOS 9 and Android 4.0.3 from January 1, 2021.

Phones that do not run Android 4.0.3 will lose access to “WhatsApp”, and these models include HTC Desire, LG Optimus Black, Motorola Droid Razr, and Samsung Galaxy S2, among other models released around 2012.
